Continuing my TOP TEN of what to see & do in gorgeous Greenwich Park:
Six:
Stop by the beautiful ironwork Bandstand in Bandstand Field.

Built in 1891 by the Coalbrookdale Company, this Grade II listed structure is now a meeting point for many activities taking place in the Park. In the summer, there is a calendar of events featuring weekly concerts at The Bandstand. Visit the What's On page for upcoming events.

Seven:
Walk the myriad of trails criss-crossing Greenwich Park, winding between the trees, over hills and across stretches of lawn. These trails are perfect for dog-walking and strolling with family and friends.

EIGHT:
In 1433 Greenwich Park was enclosed by a twelve foot high brick wall. Used as a private hunting park for the royals, much of the brick wall defining the Park's perimeter still stands today. The public weren't allowed into the Park until the 18th century - so glad that isn't the case anymore!!
Nine:

The famed English architect, Sir Christopher Wren, was commissioned to design The Royal Observatory in 1675 by King Charles II. Greenwich Castle formerly stood on the site where the Observatory was constructed. It became known as 'Flamsteed House', named after John Flamsteed, the first appointed Astronomer Royal and the building's first occupant.

Ten:
Last, and possibly my most favourite place in Greenwich Park, is right here - standing at the viewing point. From this hill is the most spectacular view of The Queen's House, The Old Royal Naval College, the River Thames, Canary Wharf, the Cutty Sark to the West and the O2 Arena to the East. One of the best views in London, without a doubt!

Hope you enjoyed my TOP TEN of what to see & do in Greenwich Park!
